Tips from the Top

I was watching a segment on Martha's show the other day and she had the two women behind Shopafrolic on, Liz Lange and Jane Wagman. I love their story and immediately signed up to get their daily emails.

From a very young age, it was clear that both of us had inherited our mother’s disease, we loved the rush of a great purchase, the thrill of a successful day of shopping. And as long as we both shall live, we will never be able to resist the magic pull of the Bergdorf’s windows. It is a sickness, yes. But it is the most wonderful sickness in the world and we would like to share it with you.
But you see, a few months ago, a terrible thing happened. The economy crashed. And people stopped shopping. Some went cold turkey. Not us. As the proud daughters of a full-blown shopaholic, we know that quitting is not the answer. Quitting is never the answer. If ever there was a time to shop, it is now. (Really! Have you seen the sales out there?!). Yes, it is up to us, girls. If we don’t help the economy get back on its feet, who will?
As a very well-dressed woman’s husband once said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
So we can be brave. We can be strong. We can go forth and shop.
